Hydrated and Focused January: The Drink Water and Mind Your Business Challenge

Updated: Jan 16

Hello!

Two posts in one day?! Why not!

We're six days into 2025 and another day could not go by without you all knowing this month's mission.

What better way to kick off 2025 than by hydrating our body and our purpose? This month's mission is, Drink Water and Mind Your Business Challenge—a challenge to drink 8-10 glasses of water each day and stay laser-focused on what God has placed in our hands.

Drink Water—Refresh Your Body

Let’s face it—hydration is essential, but we often overlook it. This January, we’re committing to drinking 8–10 glasses of water daily to nourish our bodies, boost energy, and promote overall health. Why? Because taking care of our physical well-being is part of honoring the bodies God has entrusted to us. If you want to take it up a notch; you can drink only water this month. So that means no juice, no tea, no coffee, no soda, and no alcohol!

Water is more than a thirst-quencher; it’s a symbol of cleansing, renewal, and life. Just as our bodies thrive on pure water, our spirits thrive on God’s Word. This challenge invites you to detox—both physically and spiritually—and step into the new year feeling refreshed, focused, and ready for what God has planned.

Mind Your Business—Focus Your Spirit

Now, let’s talk about the second part of this challenge—minding your business. No, it’s not about ignoring others; it’s about guarding your heart and staying focused on your purpose. We live in a world that constantly pulls our attention in different directions—comparison, distraction, and even insecurity can creep in when we start looking at someone else’s lane.

This month and year, let us choose focus over distraction. Mind your business by stewarding the gifts, talents, and assignments God has given you. Don’t waste energy worrying about others’ paths—stay faithful to yours. Just like drinking water keeps you physically hydrated, staying focused on God’s plans keeps you spiritually grounded.

Connecting It Back to the Theme

The theme for this month is God’s Unwavering Acceptance—Beyond Performance, Position, and Achievement. This theme reminds us that we’re not striving for approval; we’re living from it. God has already accepted and equipped us. So, as you drink your water and mind your business, let it be a reflection of that truth.

You don’t need to prove yourself. You don’t need to compete. Instead, let this challenge be a reminder that your worth is rooted in God’s love—not in how busy you are, how much you accomplish, or what others think of you.

Practical Tips for the Challenge:

  1. Carry a Water Bottle Everywhere – Make hydration easy and accessible.

  2. Track Your Progress – Use a journal or an app to record your daily water intake.

  3. Pray While You Sip – Turn each glass into a moment of gratitude and reflection.

  4. Create Boundaries – Be intentional about where you place your focus. Set limits on social media and avoid unnecessary distractions.

  5. Celebrate Small Wins – Whether it’s staying consistent with water or maintaining focus, acknowledge your progress.

This January, let’s simplify and sharpen our focus. Drink water, and mind your business. Care for your body, steward your purpose, and trust God’s plan for your life. You don’t have to strive—just stay faithful and hydrated.

Are you ready? Let’s take on this challenge and step into the year with clarity, confidence, and God’s unwavering acceptance. Cheers (with water) to 2025!

Love always,

Keps
