KepThoughts (2 of 8): Love Beyond Measure

ree

Good morning KepTalk Fam,

The month has been bustling, and it's only just begun! Despite the busyness, I'm grateful to God. This past Sunday was a highlight as my daughter sang in front of the church (video below), filling me with immense pride. It took me back to my own choir days at North Stelton AME when I was her age. While I may not have the voice of Cece Winans, singing brings me joy! Anyway, Jisayo's song choice was spot-on! Its lyrics, "fill me up till I overflow, I want to run over," beautifully capture a sentiment worth discussing—the boundless love of God and how it ties into our lives.

Let's talk about Ephesians 3:18-19. The Bible says we should understand how massive and deep Christ's love is—way beyond what our brains can fully get. Imagine it like a huge adventure, exploring the love of Jesus that's so wide, long, high, and deep.

Paul, who wrote this with God's inspiration, wants us to grab onto how massive Christ's love is. Picture it like the widest horizon, the longest journey, reaching as high as the sky, and going as deep as the ocean. This love isn't limited by what we can understand; it goes way beyond that.

My son really likes puzzles, so we got him a big one with 500 pieces. At first, he didn't know how he'd finish it, but he's been working hard on it. Trying to understand God's love is like solving a puzzle. It's really big and goes beyond what we can figure out in our heads. This love is something we feel deep in our hearts, not just in our minds. You can't measure it or take it apart; it's more than we can fully understand.

Understanding this unmeasurable love isn't just about thinking hard; it's about going on a journey that changes you completely. It's getting filled up with all the incredible gifts God has to offer—His love, joy, peace, comfort, you name it. This love isn't distant; it wants to soak into every part of who you are, bringing you closer to God.

Think about how big Christ's love is—wide, long, high, and deep. Remember moments when you felt this love for real. How has it shaped who you are, and what you think about God?

Have you ever felt like this love was limited? Maybe you thought it only goes so far. Give those limits to God and ask Him to show you more of this endless love.

God, Your love is way bigger than I can imagine. Help me really feel how massive it is. Let it fill me up, and may it spill over to everyone around me. I want to overflow in Your love everyday of my life. Amen.

Hope you're blown away by the immensity of Christ's love. Let it be a game-changer in your life, filling you up and bringing you close to God. Keep soaking it in!

I'm excited to continue sharing more KepThoughts centered on love with all of you throughout the month. Don't hesitate to pass them along to your family and friends!

Love,

Keps
