Recap: KepTalk Live Event and Exciting Updates

Happy New Month!

We've made it to May 2024! ***insert praise dance here***

Happy Mental Health Awareness Month!

How are you doing today? How are you feeling today? What are some of the thoughts you've been thinking lately? I genuinely want to know so shoot me a chat (see "Let's Chat" on the homepage) and we can just talk.

That said, I'm focusing some my efforts this month on expanding the Resources tab on the website. If you take a look, you'll notice some changes that have already been made. I'm working on my first workshop which will focus on acknowledging negative or unproductive thought and behavior patterns. This feels like a good moment to delve into this topic especially since it is Mental Health Awareness month. It's important to recognize that your thoughts, emotions, and actions are intertwined. The aim is to assist you in recognizing and delving into how your emotions and thoughts influence your behaviors. Once you're aware of these patterns, you can start to adjust your behaviors and cultivate new coping mechanisms. I'm excited to compile this content and strongly believe it's essential for individuals taking a proactive approach to their healing journey.

Now let's quickly talk about my first virtual event of the year! I'm still pinching myself - it was a huge success! God did His thing, per usual. Can you believe I've been on this KepTalk journey for 7 years, maybe even 8 years. I know I'm currently experiencing a rebirth of the vision and it's such a beautiful place to be. I'm intentional about doing my part which is simply allowing God to lead. "Aye-aye, Captain!" For those that missed it, you're in luck - full video is on YouTube. I'm also sharing the newsletter I created for all guests to use as a resource. I hope you find it resourceful as well. And last but certainly not least, I'm sharing the save the date for the next KepTalk LIVE: Written by God event. This will be in person so get ready for an impactful time!

I'll end here --

You know how I love sharing my monthly KepPicks with you all, and I've heard they've been really helpful for some (all glory to God, of course). Well, this month's KepPicks are sticking close to last month's lineup. Remember when I mentioned that I'm letting God take the lead? Well, here's a perfect example of that in action. I had planned out May's theme, scripture, declaration, etc., weeks ago, but after Sunday's event, God made it clear that there's still more He wants to do with this theme, so we're keeping it going for May. And you know what I said? "Aye-aye, Captain!" So this month's KepPicks haven't changed much—just the scripture and song selections. Everything else is staying the same. Why am I telling you all this? Because I want you to know that God is really emphasizing this theme for us. My prayer for you and me is that we'll stay focused and that our lives will reflect growth and transformation. So, the blog posts this month will continue to revolve around THRIVING IN DIFFERENT SEASONS OF LIFE.

I've shared quite a bit today. Take it all in and talk to you soon!

Oh, and before I forget (because there's always something else!), I just have to say a huge Happy 12th Birthday shoutout to my amazing little sister, Tise. You truly are a blessing to our family, and I couldn't imagine life without you.

Love you all so much,

Keps
